Together with its partner in Jordan, Artolution, Qudra 2 supports vulnerable children from the host communities and Syrian refugees through a series of projects to strengthen resilience through the arts.
Between August and November, creative arts projects were implemented in eight schools in the Irbid and Mafraq governorates. A total of 9,375 children participated in various art activities.
Children and young people participated in large-scale mural painting, musical instruments made of recycled materials, and theatrical performances. The children engaged with artist mentors and creatively addressed social injustice, gender inequality, social exclusion, and access to education. The children also had the opportunity to visualise their hopes and aspirations for a brighter future through their art.
Each project was concluded with a public event where the artists and children presented their work to the community, school staff, classmates, and family members.
