Employment promotion and income generation

Qudra 2 supports refugees and host communities with various skills training programmes. Inside the Azraq and Zaatari refugee camps, in partnership with the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), 39 youth have concluded 15 training programmes.

Previously, 160 youth were enrolled in 10 training programmes in 7 fields, including tailoring, welding, carpentry, mobile maintenance, and electrical wiring. 215 Jordanian and Syrian youth benefit from 13 ongoing training programmes implemented by our local partners, Education for Employment - Jordan and Future Pioneers for Empowering Communities.

To improve the quality of training, Qudra 2 has also launched capacity-building activities targeting vocational training institutes. Five training programmes were provided to the National Employment and Training Company (NET) in M&E, management of Vocational Training Institutes, training needs assessment, curricula framework development, and skills testing.
