Jordan / Delivery of COVID-19 disinfection equipment to 6 municipalities

With Qudra 2’s support, the Ministry of Local Affairs (MoLA) delivered vehicles and disinfection equipment to six municipalities in the Mafraq governorate of Jordan to support the implementation of Local Development Plans and ease the pressure on the municipalities during their fight against COVID-19.

On 27 July, vehicles and disinfection equipment, including three tractors, six sprayer tanks and 120 manual sprayers, were delivered to six municipalities in the Mafraq governorate to support their fight to prevent the spread of #COVID19.

The materials were formally handed over to the Municipality of Greater Mafraq by the Spanish Ambassador to Jordan, H.E. Aránzazu Bañon Dávalos. The ceremony was attended by the Assistant Secretary-General of the Ministry of Local Administration (MoLA), Eng. Mohammad Ewidat, Deputy Governor/Head of the Greater Mafraq Municipal Committee, Mr Hassan Al Jabour, and the five heads of the municipalities’ committees.

In addition to the 1 400 gallons of sterilisation material already delivered, the disinfection equipment will serve the six municipalities in the Mafraq governorate. Qudra 2 in Jordan strengthens the capacities of the municipalities to offer better services for the local community.
