In Iraq, Qudra 2 cooperates with local companies to support on-the-job training for unemployed youth, which is designed to respond directly to the needs of employers. Employers then undertake to employ participants once they have completed the training.
In Erbil, Future Electric Company provided practical and on-the-job training on electrical installation, repair and maintenance for 25 unemployed youth from vulnerable groups for two months. The company employed all 25 trainees after the completion of the training.
135 unemployed youth from refugees, IDPs, and host communities benefited from on-the-job training in poultry farming provided by Al-Sadeed Company with the support of Qudra 2. Trainees learned about the complete poultry production cycle so that they could start their own business upon completion.
